Don’t waste a second in Hong Kong: It’s the RISE Week Events

The excitement of RISE returns next week, and with it the Hong Kong community (and beyond) have pulled together to put on extra networking events each week. These are the RISE Week Events.
These events will take place around the RISE conference and will put a spotlight on Hong Kong’s powerful ecosystem.
You’ll need to register to attend most of these events, so make sure to click the link and secure your place.
Since a number of people are coming from out of town, KPMG wants to invite you to their 90 minute hike and invite founders, VC, innovators to join for a leisurely hike. Starts at 5.30pm so you can see an awesome HK sunset.
This was a huge success last year, so this year the party masters at Alive Not Dead are doing two sailings on the startup ferry that will take you around Victoria Harbour for a must-see view of Hong Kong’s historic harbour – there will be beers, startups and new people to meet.
Party with people from Silicon Valley at this party right before the Pub Crawl. This is an invite-only event.
The Changing Face of Commerce presented by KPMG
Come hang out at the offices of KPMG in Causeway Bay and discuss the latest innovation trends and the changing landscape of disruptive technologies. Knocking on the Investor’s Door presented by WHub

Those suffering from jet lag or those who want to get an amazing view of Hong Kong from the mid-levels are advised to join this 4km run around Bowen Road. It starts at 7am so there’s plenty of time to jog with startup folks and make it back in time for the opening keynotes at RISE.
Anna Fang of ZhenFund, Jenny Lee of GGV Capital and Harry Man of Matrix Partners will sit down with Casey Lau for a fireside chat. If you’re not at RISE you can still get a chance to see RISE in action as this event open to all.
After a non-stop day at RISE we thought it would be fun to connect all the IoT teams at the coolest IoT Hub in the city: Brinc. Come and enjoy drinks on our terrace overlooking the PMQ courtyard, and network with the best and brightest in IoT, tech, design and creatives in Asia.

The AI and data science team at Altitude Labs in Hong Kong have put together a workshop for commerce and data junkies who want to hear about the types of AI engines being built in HK. Expect intelligent networking afterwards.
