Delighted to announce that CEO of Ola, Bhavish Aggarwal will be speaking at RISE. They have just raised $400 million in Series E funding from DST Global, Singapore’s GIC and NY-based hedge fund Falcon Edge Capital. This funding is likely to give Ola the tools needed to further its lead on cab booking app Uber. Here’s some others joining:
Junyang Woon – Founder & CEO – Infinium RoboticsJunyang is the CEO and Founder of Infinium Robotics, a startup focusing on innovative applications for Unmanned Aerial Systems. Last month, they had drone waiters serving customers in a restaurant doing the legwork that serving staff usually do. They don’t fly directly to tables (yet) but from the kitchen to drop-off areas where staff pick up from there. Before founding the robotics company, Junyang worked as a Navy Officer for seven years.
Nanxi Liu – CEO & Co-Founder – EnplugNanxi has been listed by various publications in lists like the Top Five Women-Led Startups to Watch. She says her dream was to be a ninja, but Enplug turned out to be more fun with less blood (usually). Enplug is a leading software used to manage and distribute interactive content on networks of digital displays, enabling businesses to seamlessly engage their audience. Nanxi loves writing code, eating bacon and playing basketball – all at the same time.
Brian Koo is a founding member of Formation 8. He currently services on the boards of AKAStudy, Illumio, Kidaptive and Learnsprout and previously of Oculus. In the past, he has established InnovationHub, Harbor Pacific Capital and advised a number of companies in the online education and media space.
