–We had over 5,000 attendees from 70+ countries – including 300 investors and 225 media – attend RISE this July.
We couldn’t believe the experience.
Since then, we’ve been working on RISE 2016, and we’re getting ready for our next ticket sale where you can buy two RISE tickets for the price of one.
This in mind, we thought we’d check in on four of the startups who joined us in Hong Kong this year:
aCommerce is an e-commerce logistics and service provider with offices in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.
Having already raised one of Southeast Asia’s biggest ever Series A rounds – $10.7 million –they are now targeting a Series B of $30 million.
As they say themselves: “Basically, when Amazon finally focuses on Asia they would want to partner with us“.
HotelQuickly employ 65 people at their Hong Kong base and specialise in last minute hotel bookings.
They guarantee they can get you cheaper hotel rooms than Booking.com, Expedia or direct from hotels.
New Delhi-based EduKart provide India’s largest platform for enrolment in online and distance degrees.
They’ve raised $2 million in funding, most recently a $1 million Seed this June.
They specialise in B2B commerce and CEO Cameron Priest has said they want to “make wholesale as easy as shopping on Amazon“.
They’ve raised over $7 million in funding and recently moved into a new office space, such has been their team’s growth.
