CreoPop is the world’s first 3D pen with cool ink. No hot parts, no melting plastic. Instead, it uses photopolymers that are solidified using LED diodes to let users create amazing 3D designs. All you need to do is press the button, and create any shape you like- the possibilities are pretty much endless. They just raised a seed funding round led by Wavemaker Partners and the Singapore National Research Foundation. Let’s hope they do some demos at RISE…
TradeGecko are building beautiful inventory software and connecting the global supply chain. They’re aiming to make wholesale transactions as easy as shopping on Amazon. It was founded 3 years ago by 3 entrepreneurs from New Zealand, two brothers and their friend. Previously running businesses ranging from retail apparel to web design, this startup was born out of a frustration to efficiently manage and track retail inventory and warehouse administration.
Peatix is a global event registration platform that provides organisers with the tools to create, promote, and sell out events. So far funding is at $9.6 million. Investors include Fidelity Growth Partners Japan and 500 Startups. This startup has served over 30,000 events so far since 2011. The beauty of the service is that it lets event organisers manage everything from a mobile even down to dispatching tickets to attendees.
CXA is a corporate benefits aggregator. What TripAdvisor did for travel, they’re doing for insurance, healthcare and wellness. This crowd have raised $8 million and had an eventful start. Soon after being founded, they acquired Pan Group, the third-largest home-grown group insurance brokerage in Singapore.
These folk distribute the MultiRotor Service-Drone, a German-engineered Unmanned Aerial Vehicle used for industrial purposes. This is of use to anyone who urgently needs an integrated software platform to manage huge amounts of images and data genereated from drone operations. This startup’s controller and assembly provide state-of-the-art redundancy and flight-stability, with flight times of 90 minutes making them pretty reliable and effective!
